an IT resource quick reference guide for students of the University of Tennessee College of Law
    Welcome to orange-aid!

On behalf of the University of Tennessee College of Law, welcome to UT! The office of Network and Computing Services bids you welcome as you enter your first semester here, and for those of you here on the site for a refresher - welcome back!

Our hope is that we can capably support your educational experience by applying the latest technology to the classroom and beyond. To that end, the University of Tennessee Office of Information Technology (OIT), and the College of Law Network and Computing Services team (a division of Joel A. Katz Law Library), provide many IT services, including:

  • Physical and Infrastructure resources - Computer labs, wireless access, printing, and multimedia equipment
  • Accounts - You'll use a bunch while you're here, be it for network access, email, or course registration.
  • Databases - Research, what's not to love? Find out what information resources are available to you for your studies.
  • Programs - Here you'll find details about protecting your computer with antivirus software, taking exams right from your own laptop, and more.

This users’ guide, orange-aid, is intended to provide a brief introduction to the most commonly used technology services. Should you have questions or require additional information after reading this material, please refer at any time to the contact information provided here, and get in touch with the appropriate IT professional. Once again, welcome, and we hope you'll find all you need here!
